Think Dodge, Think Alfa

The Alfa Romeo Brera

The next time you drive an Alfa Romeo in Europe, there might be a Dodge lurking underneath that Italian badge.

This is all part of Fiat's grand plans for Chrysler, which it bought in bulk last month.

Fiat and Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne admitted that the possibility was there, as he felt both brands share the same core identity.

He said: "Dodge is the American muscle car, while Alfa Romeo is the European muscle car. How we dovetail these two brands is very important. The level of competition between these two brands is tremendous because they are both going after the same customer."

Marchionne was also considering selling all Alfa Romeo models as Dodges in the US.

We think it will be interesting to see which Dodge models Fiat will deem fit for the European Market. Any takers for an Alfa Romeo Viper?
