Removing Contaminants

The oil filter is meant to remove contaminants from engine oil.

It is mainly used in the internal combustion engines of motor vehicles, light aircraft and vessels.

Normal oil and filter change or service is mandatory for long engine life.

Today's engines have more power which makes it imperative that you change your oil at regular intervals.

"With Magnetrap, not only will it pre-filter your engine oil but also reduce metal particles significantly, thus extending your engine life span," said Darren Aster Gunasekere, executive chairman and chief research officer of DAG Electrophonic Sdn Bhd.

Manufactured under International Quality Standards, ISO TS 16949, the Magnetrap works by trapping metal particles to the magnetised oil filter canister.

This is the first stage of filteration before the remaining particles are filtered by the oil filter elements.

Two independent testing laboratories have proved that Magnetrap is able to remove 99.95 per cent of metal elements in the engine oil.

"By removing most of the metal particles in your engine oil, it will lower abrasive wear and tear in engines," added Darren.

"The Magnetrap is unique. It creates a focus beam inside the canister, thus making it more efficient. It is manufactured with the Neodymium super magnet which can withstand heat of up to 250 degrees Celcius."
