taxi confusion

the quality of an organisation can be measured by its reaction to change.

Taxi drivers want to re-calibrate their meters as soon as possible so that they can charge the new rates.

First they have to get their meters done at the meter installation company and there are about six in KL. The taxi driver will call the company and they will choose the earliest available date and also they can choose whether to come in the morning or the afternoon.

After this is done, they need to get the installation certified by the Puspakom. This is where the trouble starts. Puspakom does not give appointments. So you have to try your luck. To make it worst, because they were not prepared for this sudden influx of taxis, they only open for this meter recalibration certification from 5pm to 9pm monday to saturday.

On sunday, it's the whole day for taxis.

For Puspakom therefore to complain that they are not getting the quantity of taxis is just an abuse of statistics and not a fair comment about the taxi community.

Dear, Ed I hope your homepage poll change to recent NAP announcement, as there are so many unheard voice of dissapointment... Safetybelt are already an ice age issue... Now NAP has withdraw its annual puspakom check for all 15yrs old policy, there are still a lot policy that made driver felt cheated.
