Holidays for Proton buyers

PROTON Edar Sdn Bhd gave away prizes to the winners of its MMS contest for the Proton Drive for Holidays campaign at Proton’s Centre of Excellence last week.

Held from Nov 1 to Dec 31 last year, the campaign gave customers, who purchased and registered a new Exora or Persona during that period, a three-day/two-night stay at any one of 33 participating hotels in Malaysia.

Also, customers who purchased any Proton model registered during the promotion period were entitled to enter an SMS contest to win one of the seven handphones offered daily.

Winners from that contest were then entitled to participate in an MMS contest, where contestants were required to send a photograph of a favourite part of their new Proton car.

Each of the seven winners of the MMS contest were presented with a cash prize and a three-day/two-night holiday package.

“Our records show a 24 per cent increase in registrations for last November and December compared with the same period in 2008,” said Proton Edar CEO Mohamad Shukor Ibrahim.

“Also, last month showed a 40 per cent increase in registrations compared with the same period last year.”
